Rhaenyra lost everything by choosing what was less important: a worthless throne to serve people who ultimately despised her. When life gives her a new chance, this time she chooses what truly matters: her family. She chooses Harwin, Laenor, and her children. And if anyone in Westeros doesn't like that Rhaenyra Targaryen has two men for herself and says it proudly while raising her children and sending the throne and Westeros somewhere the sun doesn't shine... well, they can present their complaints to Syrax and Bruma. The Princess has had enough of pleasing others; this life she will dedicate to herself and what truly matters—her family. Summary
Aegon remembers dying - very painfully and with little dignity. When he awakes to the day his children are born, he is determined to stop the war for the throne and prevent his family from dying (and himself. He is very much invested in not dying again).
To do this, he realises he needs to:
1. Stop Lucerys from being a twat and actually show Aemond he is sorry for taking his eye.
2. Stop Aemond from, also, being a twat and actually stop his brother from killing his nephew (and also Aegon himself).Somewhere along the line he becomes a matchmaker, with a little help and guidance from his sister-wife.

Summary
It took one violent encounter that almost cost him his life and his dragon for Lucerys to finally realize that Aemond Targaryen is obsessed. He is territorial, possessive, and extremely obsessive. To the point of madness. Yes, indeed, that man is a madman.
And it took a shit amount of letters sent by said madman for Lucerys to realize that the object of Aemond Targaryen's obsession is none other than himself.
No matter where he goes, how deep of a hole he dug, that man will chase after him endlessly.
So what else can Lucerys do but to make use of this obsession and make a living out of it. After all, if he could tame a wild beast to be loyal to him, Lucerys would be able to live a long, safe and quiet life. No war.
