Summary
Series of one-shots in a medical AU
Joo Jaekyung is a neurosurgeon who goes through a very difficult period after losing a patient. After reaching an agreement, he is subject to a conduct assessment to continue working as a surgeon. The mentor, Lee, chooses Kim Dan, a pediatric intern, to evaluate him. What was supposed to be humiliating ends up getting into Jaekyung's head. He who is cold towards patients now has to deal with the sweet omega who is too attached to patients, especially to a baby with little chance of surviving.

“He died.” Nolan whispers, plain and rough. The words feel bitter on his tongue, lining his mouth and throat until it leads down to his stomach, churning with acid. He repeats the phrase, “He died,” checking to see if it’s still true. That it hadn’t all been a dream.
“I don’t think he deserved to die,” he chokes out, just to get the thought from his head before the spiral starts. He’s not really anticipating any sort of answer, so Theo’s dull “No?” is a bit startling to him.

Nolan's been dealing with the fallout of the end of the season by himself. Walking Beacon Hills Preserve at night staves away the nightmares and shadows that plague his mind, but one night he finds himself befriending a lone wolf that wanders out of the darkness and doesn't seem to leave him alone.
