Summary
The receptionist is leaning over her desk, chattering animatedly at someone with red hair and broad shoulders. He’s got a stack of envelopes under one arm. Shouto can’t see his face from here but he can just make out a raspy laugh, followed by a thank you as the man turns to shoulder open the door. He looks big in that blue polo shirt. Muscular, with a wide smile and a jaw chiseled out of actual rock. “Midoriya, look," says Shouto. "That could be my ticket out of celibacy.”
“He’s definitely an alpha,” Midoriya says accusingly. “You hate alphas. You called them all knotheads.”
“Midoriya. You remember when I told you I had deep, psychological family issues?”
“Yes?”
“And my father is an extremely domineering alpha who tried his damndest to have an all-alpha family but stopped after he had me, a beta?”
“Yes?”
“Now I don’t have time to unpack all of that,” says Shouto absently, watching Red’s biceps flex under his short sleeves. “But the long and short of it is that no, I don’t like alphas, but I am extremely attracted to them.”
(Shouto tries to woo the hot new alpha at work. He mostly fails at it.
Until he doesn't.)

“We’re fine,” Dabi reiterates more forcefully. Aizawa notes that he does not use his Quirk. “We’ll get out of the street and be out of your hair. No need to concern yourself with us, sir.”
He cannot allow these two to simply return to the Todoroki home. Explaining the existence of an older son he’s never before heard of aside, Aizawa does not trust that Endeavor is any better at handling issues with his family than he is at handling civilians. The fact that said son is an infamous Villain intent on dragging Endeavor to Hell attests to that.
“That’s not possible. Do you know why you’re bleeding? Where are we now?” And because he regularly works with children who use snarky defiance in defense of themselves, Aizawa quickly adds, “Do not say Japan. We’re in Fukuoka.”
Todoroki gasps. “Oh, did we escape, Oniichan? I don't remember.”
Aizawa sighs. That language doesn’t leave much up to interpretation. Of course Dabi of all Villains has a traumatic backstory. Dammit.

In which it's been five years since the fall of All For One. Five years since the war, when Endeavor was murdered at the hands of his eldest son.
Five years since that son, his life goal completed, turned himself in, alongside the rest of the League of Villains.Five years is a long time to be locked in a cage. No one can guarantee what kind of monster will come out when you unlock it.
But maybe you can, at the very least, save it.
