Summary
Colt Seavers wakes up on The Hail Mary, together with his twin brother Ryland and a weirdo who apparently is an ex terrorist. The three have been forced to substitute the deceased original crew, who died in an explosion. They are in the middle of space and apparently they aren’t alone? There is an alien space ship outside. And why is his brother making eyes to the fucking convict? He misses his wife Jody a lot, wait, she is not his wife because he was kidnapped the day he was going to propose. Will them survive, save the sun and find a way of going back in time?
Courtland was going to find a way to finally see his younger brothers at last when he saw the news. They were onboard the Hail Mary. And someone was to blame.

Ryland doesn't know where he is, what he's doing, or why he's doing it. Ryland Grace was certain he would never see another human again.
He was more than 16.3 light years away from Earth and he wasn’t going back anytime soon. Who would he even go back to? His students probably all graduated already and don’t remember. His parents are… well somewhere. Not like they care about him. He has no partner. He has no pet. What would ever make him go back?
Nothing.
He has Rocky now. And, once they get to Eridian, he’ll be able to meet all of Rocky’s friends. And he won’t have to go back to earth! He’ll have a bunch of cool alien friends! He doesn’t need humans to be happy… right?

The figure swayed as they brought a hand up and dragged it down their face, clearing away a portion of the blood. The person opened their eyes and started to look around the room, and put their hand against the chair to steady themselves.
Gone was the extra mouth and all its teeth, gone were the fins and gills. Under the blood, it looked as though the person was wearing clothes and sturdy boots.
The person looked human. Grace could see glimpses of skin where some of the blood had been wiped away. The red eyes locked onto him.
Grace squeaked and shuffled back further, “I’m armed!” he said as he held the spray bottle up higher.

Summary
Simon had sprinted out of the lung from the first gaps of light that where made from someone cutting a new door into it.
This event did lead him to slam what he originally assumed was a 60 year old man directly into a metal wall, ignoring the blood still pouring out of the lung, and then get "restrained" and hosed down, but not the worst thing that could happen in comparison to the blood ocean.
Aka: queer platonic bloodymary hurt/comfort with lots of angst ❤️
