Summary
Suguru watches the cigarette burn between his fingers, eyes tracking the rising smoke. Feeling the paper heat and burn beneath his fingers. He wasn’t a smoker– or at least he never considered himself to be, but he's come to crave the ritual of it, not for the taste– he hates the taste. But for the smell, heavy and pungent in his nose. It's not the same as he remembers, perhaps smoke smells different second-hand.

Summary
At first he just came across an eager fan, overzealous in his ravings but still somewhat professional. Mydei would’ve let it slide, Phainon is an adult and can handle people on his own but he just smiles and laughs. Mydeimos assumes it’s the setting that doesn’t let Phainon react the way that he should but it still irks him more than it should, a small possessive part of him bristles at the constant raving of Phainon’s skills. Mydei is well aware of Phainon’s skill but it's only his mouth that should praise him like this, only he could offer the worship he deserves not this man's brief farce of an understanding.
It’s maddening to listen to.

Mydei ends up at fancy dinner for one of Phainon's modeling gigs, he was quite happy to spend the evening sitting beside his lover watching him soak in the praise he rightfully deserves. That plan is ruined by an overzealous PR man at the dinner who spends that evening flooding Phainon with praise, praise that make Mydei bristle. Makes him bristle in such a way that he takes Phainon away to show him the only man who could praise him in the way he deserves. -

Summary
Shutting the door to his room, Satoru moves for the small, inconspicuous box in the very back of the space under his bed. Although Satoru knows that Suguru would never go through the stuff in his room, he still refuses to chance the idea.
Sitting in that small box is a deep purple dildo with a thick knot at its base, this was a toy he kept very secret. It was a dirty pleasure just for him. Satoru figured this wasn’t an uncommon occurrence for alphas to buy knotting toys, but he was sure they didn’t buy them based on particular fantasies they had of their best friend.

Satoru scratches at his scalp. Suguru truly feels at home here.
“I missed you,” Suguru whispers, pulling the man closer and brushing his lips over his neck.
“Yea?” Satoru leans back, exposing more of his neck, and Suguru’s eyes hungrily follow the shape of it, giving in to the want he runs his teeth along the column of Satoru’s throat, relishing in the man's soft intake of breath.
“Can I show you?” he kisses the man's neck again, “Let me show you, Satoru. Please…”
“You wanna show me how much you missed me?” Satoru winds his fingers in strands of ink, pushes his hips against Suguru and chuckles when he feels Suguru nod against him kissing pleas into any bit of skin he can see.or
Suguru comes home drunk and makes a point of showing Satoru how much he missed him.

Summary
He watches, almost in slow motion, as the stupid, most haunting pair of amber eyes look behind Shoko, focusing on him.
The worst part is how Satoru tracks every minuscule crinkle of his eye. How he watches recognition fill his gaze, watches the muscles in his brows relax as his gaze softens. Watches for signs, tells, that he’d recognize, and horribly, finds them.
Watches, maybe in horror, a soft smile come across the features that he still sometimes sees when he’s been staring at the backs of his eyelids for too long.
“This is my friend from uni,-“ Shoko, oblivious, starts, and Suguru interrupts her.
“Satoru.”

“…I don’t think I should let you back into my life.” Satoru mumbles, a little sleepier, after some time.
“…I understand.” Suguru whispers, not letting go, as if he’s savoring every second Satoru is going to let him have like this.
“I think I will anyway.” Satoru whispers back.

Summary
Wolfwood ignores his gripe. “You’ve been moving weird all day. What happened? Are you hiding an injury? Spill it,” he adds, when Vash starts to speak. Vash shuts his mouth with a telltale click, then lets out a huff, giving Wolfwood a particularly grumpy look as he turns around and begins the tedious process of unbuttoning his duster. Rather than continue to push, Wolfwood folds his arms across his chest and waits. Taps his foot, even. He’s fine with being obnoxious about this, so long as he gets results. Vash very rarely gives unless you needle him a little. Lucky that Wolfwood’s so good at needling.
Finally, Vash drops his arms and allows his jacket to slide to the floor. The cause of his discomfort is immediate evident. White feathers have sprung over his exposed back, the length of his non-prosthetic arm, peeking out from the neck of his shirt. They bulge from his pants, his long, strappy boots. As Vash turns to face him again, Wolfwood sees that quills are even peeking out on his cheeks, unfurling before his very eyes as Vash gives him this incredibly miserable wet cat look, folding his arms across his stomach.

Wolfwood helps Vash alleviate a little feather-related discomfort.

There was a trail of Qifrey’s blood from the entrance to the door the doctor had disappeared through.
Luckily, he didn’t have long to stand there, numb. The girls appeared moments later.
Olly swallowed, hating that he needed to ask questions from them right now, but also desperately needing to know how yet another test had gone so sideways. He cleared his throat, getting the attention of all four apprentices, and eloquently managed to ask, “…what happened?”

Qifrey and Olruggio figure out what life looks like after the silverwood seed is gone. Fair warning, it starts with a good amount of angst but moves into lots of comfort. Full of yearning all the way through.
You definitely don't have to read the earlier bits in the series - it's all just a series of Olruggio and Qifrey yearning.
