Summary
“You can’t learn if you just keep staring at me, Dr. King,” he said, his voice husky, “we’ve been over this so many times.”
If Mel didn’t know any better she would think he was flirting with her. But there was no way. Especially not now, with a photo from his and Abby’s wedding staring down at them from its place on the wall above his headboard.
Still, Mel couldn’t fight the crimson blush spreading over her cheeks, his words lighting the match that started the wildfire between her thighs.
“Sorry,” she whispered, wiping her hands down her face.
“It’s okay,” he assured her with a low chuckle, reaching behind his head to grab her hands, the warmth of his seeping through her skin. “Honestly, I’m flattered.”

Summary
Out of all of the nymphs in the grove, Mel had been one of the only ones not hoping to be chosen. It was an honor to be chosen. That's what Samira kept telling her. It was exciting to be chosen. That's what Becca kept telling her. You can run, and I won't try and stop you was Trinity's only input.
But Mel wasn't going to run.
