Summary
“Sokka?” Zuko’s voice is quiet and raspy as he shifts just enough that Sokka lifts his head up from Zuko’s shoulder. The confession Sokka had ready to go dies on his lips at Zuko’s expression - at the red he can just barely make out in Zuko’s eyes. “Sokka, I… need to tell you something.”
Sokka swallows and nods silently, not trusting his own admission to not slip out if he dares to open his mouth. Zuko must be confessing the same thing Sokka wants to. Which, admittedly, Sokka hadn’t actually planned for, but it’s fine. He can adapt to this. He just needs to shift a few words around in his brain, and--
“You’re my best friend, you know that right?”
And why does Zuko’s tone make this sound like a break up?
OR
sokka and zuko break up, make up, go undercover, thwart a rebellion, watch the sunrise, and change the course of fire nation history. not necessarily in that order.

Summary

Zuko is the nephew of the Fire Lord, next in line for the throne after his son’s untimely death, and Sokka is the son of the Chieftain of the Southern Water Tribe.
So when they wake up in different nations that are still recovering from a war, they know it will be hard for them to meet; but they’re determined to try anyway.

__If the way that the emotions played out across the other man's face was any indication of his acting skill, Zuko wasn't sure that he'd even be a good fit. “I don't think that-”
“Azula, let him go,” Zuko cut in. “I'm so sorry about her. This isn't your problem.”
She ignored him, as per usual. “We'll pay you two thousand dollars.”
Now he paused, suddenly looking more interested. “Two thousand dollars? For what, exactly?”
“There was a misunderstanding about Zuko's family life and he is in rather urgent need of a more picture perfect family to impress a potential investor,” Azula condensed the situation. “We just need someone to stay at the house and act like a husband. You know, be waiting for him when he gets there, hold hands, blah blah blah. You'd have the days off of work, paid fully.”

Summary
“The interns call him ‘Fire Lord.’ The rest of us call him Zuko.” Aang nodded his head in the direction of the surgeon in red scrubs. Sokka’s eyebrows shot up when he laid eyes on the dark-haired attending. Surprisingly enough, that man hadn’t changed in the eight years they’d been apart.
I've watched too much Grey's Anatomy this quarantine... so naturally I have to make a Zukka fic about it (because that's what I do now). This will definitely have multiple installments, but they'll have different storylines. Each "episode" will be titled with a song, just like classic Grey's! Enjoy the trash!

Summary
There are whispers in the fire nation regarding the prince. Rumors really. No one is allowed to utter a word about it for too long, unless you’d like confirm them for yourself. It’s been years since the staff heard the prince in the halls. Even longer since they heard the prince’s laughter. Since the war meeting, since the Agni Kai. Disappeared into thin air, and General prince Iroh roams like a lost spirit at night.
Sozin’s comet, not only did the avatar attack, but the prince did as well. Ozai fell. No bending. Imprisoned. The new Firelord; the hidden prince. A large scar covering his face, and another on his chest.
Firelord Zuko stops the war. He commands peace. He wants to build a new era. The Kyoshi warriors offer themselves as guards for the new Lord, as a show of peace.
There are whispers. One of them is not there to protect. Not a guard. Not like the other warriors.
Here to determine the new Lord’s fate. The new Lord is clueless to it all. He does not suspect a thing. He’s too awful of a liar to hide his suspicions. Or his feelings.

Zuko is courting Katara, and with every passing day finds new and insane ways of showing that he would quite literally move the spirit world and earth to make her happy.
In hindsight, it probably would've been better if Sokka had realised he was in love with Zuko at literally any time before this. Or preferably, never fallen for his best friend in the first place.
