Summary

Then Sherlock relapses, a buried diplomatic scandal resurfaces, and Detective Inspector Gregory Lestrade is drawn further into Mycroft’s orbit than either of them expected.

Greg had seen a lot in his twenty years on the force. Quite aside from his own personal list of injuries; being shot, stabbed, his broken bones. He’d seen fellow officers downed, mass shootings, his fair share of explosions. Strange things, too. Once Sherlock had shown up in his life.
But nothing would ever compare with seeing Mycroft half buried under the debris from an explosion designed to kill him and not knowing whether he was dead or alive.

Summary
Mycroft had found himself in a plane crash, barely escaping with his life after a meeting he was attending was intercepted by a readicalist group; the crash proved not fatal for him but for his pilot. Now, in the middle of the Sahara Desert and with little to no experience in aviation mechanics whatsoever, he would have to figure out how to fix the plane, and why on earth a small child appeared out of nowhere, asking him to draw her a sheep.
The child appears to have no name whatsoever and refuses to answer any of his logical questions. She reminds him of a girl he once saw, someone important to him, but it couldn’t be; she had died along with her mother a decade ago. Yet the resemblance to his little girl, his Little Princess. Is uncanny.
