Summary
Will Byers just wanted to survive the last summer before college. Mike Wheeler, though, had other ideas, and to Will, it was obvious Mike also needed a reason not to run from himself; someone to take care of, someone to protect.
New York is far from everything they know, where they have the freedom to just be themselves, and that's where they're forced to deal with an intimacy neither saw coming; one where trust can hold you down, and some words can bring everything to a halt. Trouble is, the past doesn't care about borders. And some ghosts refuse to stay behind.

Summary
Sirius has never been one to be overly cautious at night. He’s out clubbing enough to know the city and he could get back to his apartment with his eyes closed. This wasn’t a rare occurence—Sirius needing to get out and about so he goes to the bar and gets pissed, while Remus stays at their apartment. Sirius usually goes with James or Peter but tonight neither of them were available so he spent the night having drink after drink. Nothing happened to make him go, he just was bored and tired of having coherent thoughts.

Summary
No one ever talks about what happens after.
No one told Will that the monsters would never really leave him. No one told Will how being taken and possessed would sit in his stomach like a coiled-up vine. No one told Will how he'd never feel like himself again.
No one told Will what to do, now that the worst is over and he doesn't feel any better. No one told Will how to handle the after, the in-between of not dying and still feeling dead.
No one told Will how to feel alive, so he figures it out for himself.
