I- I can’t even begin to explain how this made me feel. It connected so much with my own ptsd that I sobbed sometimes. I felt like Bucky before. Sometimes I still feel like Bucky. It made me realize so much and made me have a little bit of hope in the future. This book made me want to live, love, and attempt to get better even when I have days I don’t want to face the open sky.
When Bucky described the feeling he gets in public and under the sky, I felt like vibrating out of my skin. That’s exactly how I feel, but sadly I don’t get to be unemployed and get used to it. The feeling of sinking, crippling anxiety. The constant panic attacks. The deep dread and greying of life. So much I relate to.
Him having Steve as something that made him get up everyday😫. I feel that way with certain things. Ceramics and Marvel is like that for me. I get up everyday because I need to work on a sculpture, or I need to live until Thunderbolts or Captain America 4 comes out. It’s small and silly, but these checkpoints really do help me push on.
