Okay before the summary I want you to know you can read this without having to watch Next Mutation, I would never make anyone suffer like that. However this Venus does have some aspects from IDW Venus so it will have some spoilers for IDW Venus, but you don't have to read IDW in order to read this. This story is set in the Rise universe.

Mikey wakes up in a cell chained to Big Mama's assistant, unable to access his mystic powers, and his brothers are nowhere to be found. Now he must team up with an enemy in order to escape and get home, despite the great distance.

After seeing her family so heavily injured April decides she wants to turn herself into a Mutant, thinking herself weak and useless.
Unfortunately, this is a really bad time to be a Mutant. While many saw the brothers fighting the Kraang in videos or photos, a hatred has built up towards all non-humans. Now New York is in a state of chaos and fear and a government agency named EPF is starting to detain mutants. But there's more, secrets that they are hiding.
Can April keep her family safe from the new threats? Or will her drastic decisions be the downfall of them all.

Summary
The day started off horribly for the boys.
It was the day of Halloween and Splinter had told them he just wasn’t feeling up to going out and that he would just get them candy when he was feeling better, but the candy wasn’t entirely the reason why the boys loved Halloween. Something they always loved was that during this specific holiday, they could go to the surface! And interact with humans! Although dad always warned them not to talk to strangers, the boys couldn’t help but cherish every moment a human would smile at them and say “Here you go!” And hand out sweets to the boys.
It was the one time of the year they could be normal.
So when pops said he wasn’t taking them this year they all started crying, so he sent them to their shared room. But they weren't having it.
Or the tots go trick or treating and it goes horribly wrong.
