Bruce had decided to ignore the mysterious meteor shower from last night, because it was Wednesday and Wednesday was for gardening. If he lives to regret being wrong, for allowing the triumph of some new space themed rogue, so be it. There is, after all, no indication of anything dangerous actually coming down with those shooting stars, and no amount of testing can drag more data where there is none.
He is wrong, of course. And he lives. But he never does regret it.

Clad in dark robes embroidered with the finest gold thread, midnight hair tied up and adorned with a golden guan, he exuded an authority so absolute that no one dared mistake his position. His posture was flawless, his expression composed and unreadable.
Even in relaxation, he seemed like a dangerous predator, ready to strike.
And his gaze, when falling on a low-ranking official like him, was bone-chilling.
