Summary
“Oh, but you mustn’t think I don’t want to. The kissing, that was nice. Only... do you remember the ox?”
“Oh-hooooo, yeah. Not gonna forget the ox in a hurry.”
“It’s been more than four thousand years!”
“And I haven’t forgotten. See?”
Aziraphale is a little afraid of what might happen if he lets himself taste the forbidden fruit (not the apple, this time, either!).
Fortunately, he's got an idea for that.

Summary
Aziraphale is living peacefully until a new person occupies the neighbouring flat. Crowley is loud and infuriating on purpose. His cat-like contacts are also pretty weird, but Aziraphale finds himself mesmerised by them. What, exactly, is his neighbour?
Crowley is retired. His new life among humans would be cut to be annoying and boring, but his neighbour shows him there's more to it. It's all worthy it if he can get under Aziraphale's nerves... or his sheets.

Summary
So of course it’s only natural that when Crowley turns to Aziraphale from where he’s sitting sprawled, one lanky leg kicked out in front of him, a vision in clinging black denim, on a squeaky park bench outside Tadfield and lays the offer of staying at his place at Aziraphale’s feet, well...it’s only natural (and polite, mind) that he agree...
...in a sort of roundabout way...i.e. by swallowing down the words ‘Thank Heaven, dear boy, I thought you’d never ask’, schooling his face into a somewhat forced melancholy and instead casting back a wary and halfhearted ‘I don’t think my side would like that.’ whilst stoutly resisting the incriminating blush creeping under his collar... he doesn’t want to appear too eager after all…
OR
Aziraphale accepts Crowley's invite to stay at his place and feelings, dreams and lots of sexy sex are had.

Summary
When Aziraphale and Crowley trade bodies, Aziraphale is shocked and embarrassed to learn that he now has a sex drive - something angels are not allowed to have.
That night, alone in Crowley’s flat, Aziraphale accidentally falls asleep and has a wet dream while in Crowley’s body.
Aziraphale has to deal with the guilt of what happened, his desire to modify his own body, his mounting feelings for Crowley, and last but not least, the very real threat of certain angels and demons that will stop at nothing to exact revenge.

Summary
“Crowley,” he whispers. The demon doesn’t stir so he tries again. “Crowley.”
It’s barely louder than the first. He can’t seem to raise his voice above a murmur, his traitorous throat damming up, keeping the sound from spilling out. Almost like he doesn’t actually want Crowley to wake up. Like he wants to watch, wants to see Crowley shake apart in his sleep, coming and making a mess in his pajamas.
And then, all at once, a third option presents itself to him. A sick, secret desire niggling into his brain that makes him uneasy and wildly aroused in turn: he could touch Crowley.

Summary
Really, they should have expected it. An angel and demon switching bodies? Of course there would be consequences. There’s always bloody consequences.
A post-canon romp that involves involuntary soul-bonding of the can’t-be-more-than-a-few-feet-from-another variety (My word!), an angel that’s just discovered lust (The indignity!), and a long-suffering Crowley (Oh, fuck it!).

Summary
“That’s not possible. How could my eyes just change overnight?”
Crowley snapped his fingers. The mirror remained stubbornly shattered. He looked up at Aziraphale, face pale.
Aziraphale took a step forward. “Like I said, I think something’s happened.”
“What’s going on? Why isn’t it working?”
Crowley snapped his fingers again, his agitation growing. Aziraphale placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Crowley, let’s leave the mirror be for now and talk this over. I’ll make us some tea, or coffee, or whatever you’d like. I just don’t think it’s a good idea to for either of us be around broken glass at the moment.”
Crowley nodded, taking Aziraphale’s hand and stepping over the shards to safety. Aziraphale could feel his hand shaking in his.
“Crowley,” he said, “I need you to take a deep breath.”
“Why? I don’t need to breathe.”
“Yes, I rather think you do. I think we both do.”
“Angel, what is going on?”
Aziraphale reached forward and placed a hand on Crowley’s chest, feeling a strong heartbeat racing beneath it.
Crowley reached forward and did the same.
“Crowley,” Aziraphale said after a moment, afraid to speak the truth into being, “I think we may be human.”

Summary
Maybe he’d shown Crowley how to perform a few miracles, but that Crowley had taken to them so well was surely a sign that he wasn’t all bad. And maybe Aziraphale had let himself be called upon to perform a few temptations, but that was just testing the will of the faithful if you looked at it from a different angle.
He wouldn’t have needed to resort to these techniques, he told himself, if Heaven hadn’t recalled so many of their other agents over the years, if humans with their sins and their saintliness hadn’t multiplied quite so quickly, if someone had explained to him precisely his position in the Plan. But they hadn’t, and he had to get along somehow.
And anyway, if it were really so bad someone surely would have told him to stop doing it.

Summary
Crowley folded his newspaper and accepted, with grim resignation, that he would have to try and save the world. It wasn’t that he particularly wanted to do it again; the first time had been bad enough and he’d needed an eleven-year-old to do the hard bit. He didn’t feel any kind of great love towards all living things at the moment, or have any heroic feelings. He simply knew that nobody else would do it.
And Aziraphale, who had stumbled his way into the centre of it all, would be trying desperately not to let it happen and failing, because Heaven wouldn’t let him succeed. One more time, and he resolved that it would be the very last time, Crowley would have to fix things for him.

As part of their new arrangement, Crowley has convinced Aziraphale to sit for a painting by Leonardo da Vinci. While he poses — with his wings on display — Crowley discovers just how sensitive Aziraphale’s wings are. And Aziraphale discovers just how sensitive Crowley is to praise.

Summary
The sneakiest and perhaps most human trick that Crowley’s brain liked to pull was this: Overthinking Everything. Even the most harmless of comments would kick him into overdrive, picking at whatever was said like a scab until its original meaning was mangled beyond recognition.
All this to say, when an afternoon came along shortly after the world didn’t end for a second time, and Aziraphale, apropos of nothing whatsoever, idly remarked, “You know, we never did go for that picnic,” Crowley’s brain did what it did best.
[Post-canon, Aziraphale keeps hinting at the picnic they never went on. Crowley responds in a very Cool, Normal way.]

Summary
“It was you.” Crowley takes his time with the words, feeling each one rush through him. An equal yet opposite kind of flood. “And him. You named him, because he was always there to be named.”
They gaze at each other, stunned.
“We need more books,” says Crowley, at the same time that Aziraphale declares, “We need more cocoa.”
