Summary
Castiel was no fool. He held no false illusions. He knew the cause of his fall (gentle descent? Crash and burn?). He was reminded of it in every punch, every year, every chuckle. He was reminded of it every time Dean's gaze lingered on him too long in a way that made Castiel feel unsteady and his face heat up.
Castiel knew how it would end, yet still found himself often wondering if he stayed- really stayed- would Dean tire of him and see his flaws and still want him anyway?
Or: Castiel falls for Dean and even though it means the end for him, it was worth every moment.

Summary
He had pushed his son into the Flash's arms as the cosmic treadmill faded from existence. In a way, looking Bruce in the eyes had prepared him for the last leg of the fight. He knew there was an instant in time where his son had grown proud and tall, had friends, made a name for himself.
Thomas Wayne could claim that the knowledge had given him the courage to detonate the cave, to finish off the forces seeking to destroy him. He could finally reunite with his family in the afterlife.But life has a sense of humor when it comes to Waynes and billowing explosions.
Or, Thomas wakes up in the Batcave of the mainstream universe. Life had honored his request and given him a family, but not the one he'd expected.
Chaos ensues as the Justice League tries to figure out how to deal with this new and rougher 'spooky'. Thomas meets all four of his grandsons and tries to figure out this whole 'Grandfather' thing, and Bruce finally has his father back.
(Rating changed to Mature due to some graphic depictions of violence and injury.

“Ivy was out tonight,” Grayson says. He’s pulled off his cowl and gets to work unlatching his gauntlets. “Cuddle pollen.”
Alfred nods wisely, his mustache twitching in amusement. “I see.”
“I’m fine,” Damian says irritably. He strips off his mask and cape, ignoring the persistent chill that’s settled into his skin.
