While you navigate the challenges of living in the circus, you start to bond with the people in it- particularly a certain toothy ringmaster. You had only wanted to help him tweak his adventures to better suit the cast, and provide the support that he didn't seem to have- but somehow, it ends up turning into something... different.
Could Caine be capable of more than just what was written into his code?

Last Halloween, you perused the Envy ring.
Before that, you were pleasantly surprised by the festivities of Wrath. This year, however, you decided to visit a ring that you'd personally barred yourself from, as even for a witch unseen by all, you had no interest in braving Pride.
The Pride ring had a reputation among hellborn demons of being a shithole outside the richer areas, even by Hellish standards. In recent years, however, the rings were abuzz with how much better Pride's streets were looking, inspired by a hotel for the damned. Some tacky name you couldn't recall. But it was a place you hadn’t visited, and therefore, insatiable to your wanderlust.
Unfortunately for you, however, there was one denizen in all of Hell who could see through your spell, and your paths happened to intertwine.

♦I’m not great at tagging, but I hope it’s clear that this is a slow-burn romance with a lot of passion. This is an original story of mine translated into English, so sorry if there are any inconsistencies or parts that don’t quite fit. I also want to add that I headcanon Caine as submissive, so expect a few tears and some pleading from him—you know… Caine is such a good boy 😛 (eventual 18+ content warning)

Being a librarian is relatively easy. All you gotta do is shelve books from the dropbox, check out books for patrons, make sure the library is clean… Patrons sometimes don’t return their books on time and you have to send a polite email reminding them.
Typical librarian stuff.
What wasn’t in the job description was dealing with a socially inept stalker with a love for quantum physics and astronomy.
You didn’t have an issue with monsters. After all, ever since they moved out from under the mountain seven years ago, they’ve been nothing but amicable.
There’s just something unsettling with this monster in particular.
Well… at least he gifts you hot cocoa and returns his books on time.
