A ringing noise filled his ears as he watched the two men walk off of the stage. His name wasn’t mentioned once. The TV cut away from the stage to a reporter on the scene before it was shut off. He vaguely registered red hair swishing past him. His hands shook. He clasped his hands together and squeezed. The trembling spread up his arms.

And Hoo boy does Akechi pay for it.
