His father "died" a hero. Bruce Wayne... Batman... made the ultimate sacrifice in the battle against Darkseid during one of the worst Crisis that had been experienced in recent times.
Tim Drake knew this. Logically, he knew that his adopted father did what he had to do to save the world and protect his family...
However...
That knowledge did not negate the fact that this was the second "father" he'd lost in as many years...
The third parent...
The sixth person he loved...
All gone before the age of seventeen.
And now... As he stormed away from the Cave where the child that tried to murder him was now wearing his colors... his mantle... his identity...
His last tangible ties to his dead father...
A part of him wanted to go into the Manor and pick a random room to just rip to pieces in a fit of rage and frustration.
But he didn't.
Instead, as he entered his room and made a move to knock over a shelf of books and photos, one picture in particular caught his eye.
The last happy photo he had of his father and him... with his stepmother.
(What if Dana Winters never died/disappeared after the bombing of Bludhaven?)
