Summary
Day Zero. Laura Roslin’s aide Alex is no fool: she knows something’s up and is worried sick about her beloved boss. When Lee Adama finds her having a quiet freak-out during the decommissioning reception, it’s the sincere concern he shows that knocks her for six. They work together during those first terrible hours on Colonial One, and she falls for him—too hard, too fast.
Closely observed retelling of the series, shifted by Alex’s presence and filtered through her POV, with increasing (though not dramatic) canon divergence. Lee POV mixed in from Scar onwards, and later some Kara and Sam, too.
I’m currently posting Razor and writing the colonization period. The next twenty-five chapters are solid, though still being revised. Podfic is posted as next work in this series, temporarily paused at Chapter 136 (Scar) because I’m concentrating on writing.

Summary
The return voyage of the Athena. Weaver is cautious, Conrad is all in, and everyone is too fucked up to handle anything well, with Brooks and San over-preparing like maniacs while they wait to get back in radio contact with the world.
Rated Mature for sexual content and, I suppose, the PTSD. Let me know if you think any chapter needs a trigger-warning for that, but if it’s likely to be an issue for you, please note it’s all-pervasive.
