    Adora got lost in the portal and Catra had to face her loss. She just wants this war to end so she can grieve in peace. The arrival of a horde army through a portal was unexpected, but when the commander wears Adora's face Catra has a decision to make. This may be her only chance to have Adora the way she wants her, even if she's not the same.

    “Yes my lord,” Catra said and Adora squinted at her suspiciously before she continued like Catra hadn't spoken at all.

    “Marry me,” Adora said and Catra couldn’t hold back her gasp. Adora seemed pleased by her surprise but Catra’s mind was reeling at the request. Catra had many fantasies of hearing those words from the blonde. Ever since she had read about it in a contraband book as a child. She was sure she spoke to Adora about it when they were in their early teens. Best friends who were full of emotion and affection for each other and at the time they didn’t know how to express it. Promising to be together forever felt like the sweetest relief for that pressure.
