Summary
When Steve and Dustin pierced the underbelly of the Mindflayer, they were coated in its eggs. As the aftermath of the battle against Vecna wears off, both of them begin to feel strangely connected, hearing and seeing things they shouldn't be able to. It's only when the military takes them in and holds them for testing that they learn they've been infected by the Mind Flayer. As their mental bond strengthens, Steve and Dustin must figure out how to avoid getting exploited by the military, cure themselves, and come to terms with secret thoughts and desires finally coming to light.
--Steve's body feels strange, as though it’s not his own. As though Steve is a passenger in his own mind. Distantly, he can hear voices around him. Robin seems to be saying Steve’s name, and why is Robin talking to him? Why is Robin urging him to calm down when he can’t calm down, he can’t–
Eleven is gone. Ripped away like a feather in the rush of cosmic wind.
Dustin’s scream rips through Steve’s throat, not an echo but an amplification. They feel crazed, out of body.

Summary
While exploring rumors of cursed objects, Dustin inadvertently puts on a necklace that curses him to obey direct orders. Although initially a little irritating, things quickly become more serious when someone from Dustin's past comes back into his life-- someone all too willing to take advantage of Dustin's newfound compliance. Dustin and Steve are forced to confront questions of control and desire and what this means for their shifting relationship as they race to lift the curse before it's too late.

Steve's night is going pretty good if he does say so himself.
He's got a good buzz going, a beautiful half-naked girl waiting for him in his room, and an only slightly expired roll of condoms in his back pocket.
...Now, all he has to do is get this sad ginger off of his diving board and he can officially upgrade this night from good to great.
