6 Years have passed since the Qliphoth tree was cut down, sealing the legendary devil hunters Dante and Vergil within the Underworld, never to be seen or heard from again within the mercenary world, or by what little family they left behind.
Enter Solo, a 23-year-old man with a serious case of retrograde amnesia, having settled into a pretty mundane life within the outskirts of Red Grave City, caring for his single mother, Lilita, without much issue.
After a frantic phone-call during work, Solo rushes to his shoddy apartment to find it ransacked by demons and his mother nowhere to be found, nary a lead in her whereabouts.
Armed with the sentient sword Calypso, Solo embarks on his quest to find his mother from the unknown, meeting a mysterious stranger by the name of Graecian, who points Solo to the only place that can help him within the city:Devil May Cry.

The first words even spoken to the Drifter from any of the Hex members still buzzed in his ears, even as the world swelled around him to turn back the clock as he slammed his fist into the concrete flooring. This would all be set on his terms. He could save them…He really could save them ... .He just hoped that he and ‘His Maj’ didn’t wind up destroying each other before that fact.

Summary
This is both a collection of What-If! Scenarios that I had been prompted both by myself, and by some other friends of mine for the sake of entertainment. I’ll also add smaller, canon scenes that correspond to ‘Just Not Good Enough’ that are mentioned in the proper fic, but didn’t make the cut of their scenes fully panning out. They’re not needed to be read in order to read that fic and understand what’s going on, but they’re still side stories and events that happened at some point in the fic :)
What-If! Scenarios are of course, not canon to the actual timeline of events in the previous fic, and will have any trigger or content warnings attached to each individual chapter.
