Summary
Katara Waterbends in front of Yon Rha before Kya can sacrifice herself.
Rather than killing the child, the Southern Raiders ensure she is shipped to the Fire Nation palace dungeon, far from snow and moonlight.Three weeks later, a clever, ambitious royal with a habit of sneaking around grandfather’s palace overhears that the last Southern Waterbender has been brought to her permanent cell. She sneaks into the dungeon at night, attempting to see the prisoner for herself. Yet, instead of finding an embittered warrior, all Princess Azula sees is a girl her age, scared and alone.
Her perspective on the Hundred-Year War is fundamentally changed forever.

It is the one-year anniversary of the hundred-year war. Aang is at the Fire Nation Palace to remove the bending of the three biggest war criminals or threats to the new world order. Long Feng of the Earth Kingdom, Hama of the Southern Water Tribe, and Azula former princess to the Fire Nation.
(I wrote this story because I got tired of how people believe that Azula losing her bending is just and the only way for her to find redemption.)

Summary
Left behind at the Misty Palms Oasis, Katara waits days for Aang, Sokka, and Toph to return. But when bounty hunters close in, her only chance at escape comes from the last people she ever thought she could trust: Zuko and Iroh. Now traveling under false names and bound by a fake marriage, Katara finds herself on the road to Ba Sing Se. At first, she barely trusts him, but somewhere along the way, she starts to realize Zuko isn't what she thought he was.
She keeps reminding herself it will end once they reach the city, but in a place crowded with millions of refugees and stuck in the Lower Ring, she doesn’t have much hope of finding her friends. With no leads and nowhere else to go, she resolves to wait for them to find her. But in their cramped apartment, the days turn into weeks, and the longer they stay, the harder it becomes to remember where the act ends and something real begins.

"Are you coming?" Zuko asked, impatiently, holding open the door of a black vehicle. Azula's first guess was palanquin, but judging by the wheels and shape, it was more likely to be a tank analogy. She climbed in, watching him all the while. "Why are you so weird, today?" He asked, getting in, himself. "Don't tell me you're nervous."
Considering the next time she expected to see him was her execution, 'nervous' seemed an understatement. Still, "you know me, Zuzu." She smirked. "I don't get nervous." Appearances had to be maintained, after all. Even in... wherever this was.
