Summary
My take on what if Cherise died shortly after the most recent book.
Distraught after the death of his mother, Nick Gautier's life is over. Feeling unable to take the tragedy that is his life anymore, Nick takes his own life, but not without leaving behind a few last words. This is a collection of letters Nick wrote to some of the important people in his life, mostly thanking them.
WARNING! This is very emotional and does not have a happy ending. Nick is dead and he is not coming back in the fic. This has mentions and descriptions of suicide. Don't ask me why I'm writing something this emotional, it's like 4am.

Summary
It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

Summary
If he had been given a choice, he would have made it different.
He would have given Luke a better family this time, a stronger name, a finer bloodline. He would have made sure that the boy was his by blood again, stamped and sealed under Olympus itself.
A half-blood, after all, was still better than just a mortal.
Instead, this was what the Fates allowed him: Jason Peter Todd, born human and breakable, tossed into a city that ate its young.
