It’s Robin, not Nancy, who needs a leg-up into the Upside Down, which leaves Nancy holding a foot clad in a red Converse sneaker at eye level, reading some graffiti which leaves her with some questions.
When the battle’s over she goes looking for answers.

Everything feels the same, and everything feels different, all at once. Because the victory, the heart-pounding elation of fighting the Crone and rescuing Airk and actually doing it, that's incredible. It's everything Kit ever wanted. Everything her bones knew she needed when she'd dreamt about having adventures. But it fades, quickly. Into sore shoulders and bruised ribs and the realization that they have to sleep and eat so badly.

Jade has gone along with a fair few of Kit's really really bad ideas, like the time they let the class bearded dragon out of its cage in third grade or the time they tried to ambush Airk and ended up locking themselves in the back seat of his truck, but this might be the worst idea Kit has had yet. But Jade has never been able to say no to her best friend. So, when they both decide to move to New York City after spending four years apart at separate colleges and Kit decides they should be roommates, Jade agrees.
And it's really a bad idea.

Summary
“Why? Were you so scared of fighting me you wanted to kill me while my eyes were closed?” Her weapon never lowers, the hammering of her heart in her ears never slowing. It’s only the humiliation of having been caught off-guard that keeps her from striking out right now. That, and how small Shin looks crouched as she is, still bearing the wounds of their last encounter.
That prickling heat cascades again across her cheeks, and she winces against it, hoping instead to summon the fierce expression her current situation demands.
Shin shakes her head, and — to Sabine’s surprise — lowers herself onto the ground, crossing her legs and easily leaning back. “I didn’t come to kill you, Mandalorian.”
Sabine’s wrist twitches, but she steadies it ahead of an accidental misfire. Her lips turn from a scrutinising scowl towards smug disbelief as she says pointedly, “A likely story.”
Shin shrugs, her head lolling back as she finally peels her gaze from Sabine’s. “Fine. Believe it or don’t. But I’m unarmed.”

And maybe, just maybe, in this delusional, delirious state, Shin thinks that Wren’s sparkle could find her, even in the deepest dark of Baylan’s clutches, and she takes Ahsoka Tano’s hand as she collapses into light.
