Summary
It’d made his skin warm all over again, knowing how the bruises had gotten there, thinking about it. Fucking like animals outside because they couldn’t make it indoors, couldn’t wait to get clean before they’d needed each other too badly and nature had run its course.
Shane’s entire life is control, control, control. This thing—with sweat and teeth and no definable rules, unravels him in a way that he would never have thought to expect.
.
.
.Or, revelations on the table and a looming two week timer counting down, Shane and Ilya spend some time navigating intimacy more freely than ever before.

Summary
Bood only laughs and lets the video loop over from the start, reaching out to clap a hand down onto Ilya’s shoulder. “You’ll understand one of these days, kid.”
Ilya's beer tastes sour on his tongue.
I already understand, Ilya thinks desperately. I have a daughter and she is the best thing to happen to me except for the man that I made her with and I am full of so much love that I could burst.
And he can say none of it out loud.

Summary
“It’s okay. I don’t need anything.”
“I am not going to eat in front of you while you have nothing, Hollander,” Ilya scoffs. He plucks a can of cold ginger ale from the top shelf as casually as he can manage and slides it over the island, interrupting Hollander’s fidgeting thumbs. “You must be hungry, yes? It’s been hours since you left hotel. I can make something. Easy.”
“Make… what?” he asks warily.
Ilya rolls his eyes and tosses a look over his shoulder. “Do not worry. I will find something that works for your special hockey diet,” he teases. He reaches back into the fridge. “Tuna melt okay?”
“No,” Hollander says primly. “And it’s a disease. Not a diet.”
He pulls his hands out of the cold and turns, blinks. “What?”
