Summary
Ryland Grace has survived quietly on Erid for just over two years. In humanity's eyes he is dead, and he is content to keep it this way, as long as the stars remain unchanged. The illusion of peace is stripped away when something rips a hole in his ocean and spits out an unconscious man with mutations unlike anything he thought was possible.
Simon, son of Eden, has died. At least, that's what he assumed the comfortable nothing had been. No submarine, no ocean, no eel, no Ava, no C.O.I. Just warm and inviting darkness that held no worry and presented no threat. It could not and did not last long enough. Now he's awakened to yet another hallucination: a seemingly benevolent Earth dweller and some sort of living statue encased in glass.
