Buford clenched his fists under the table. So much for peace and quiet. He hadn’t wanted this. He just wanted to study, to get through his day without adding more fuel to the never ending fire of ridiculous rumors about him.
He stood slowly, gathering his books in silence so as to not draw even more attention to himself. The weight of people’s stares pressed down on him from all around the library. Fingers pointed, voices lowered, eyes followed him as if he were some kind of walking omen.
Without a word, Buford slung his backpack over his shoulder and walked out of the library with heavy steps. The whispers trailed behind him, a constant reminder that no matter where he went, the stories followed.
It didn’t matter what he did. He’d always be the monster.

Lucifer's response was dry and condescending.

Alastor let out a derisive snort.
"Have you lost your wits, your majesty? Did you indulge in excessive drinking or perhaps suffer a head injury? Why should I fulfill such a ridiculous request?"
"Cease your words," snapped Lucifer, his tone unyielding. "Undress."
Alastor threw his head back and let out a hearty laugh.
"And why should I oblige?" he retorted with a hint of mockery.
"I'll assist you in relieving whatever strain you're feeling. Consider it a humanitarian gesture on my part."
A sly grin graced Lucifer's face.
"Of course. No ulterior motives involved" Alastor murmured sarcastically. "I don't know what you're envisioning, Your Highness, but I will no longer allow myself to be a part of it."
The deerdemon attempted to leave the room. However, he found himself rooted to the spot, held in place by an unseen force, as if his feet were glued to the ground. **
