Summary
As their friendship progresses everything else in Kara's life shifts drastically and she ends up needing Lena more than previously intended. Lena, on her end, never thought she would have a friend like Kara and she fears her feelings might get in the way.
A season re-write of Kara and Lena becoming best friends, realizing they have more than platonic feelings for their best friend, being in denial for a little bit, fighting everyone who judges their relationship and says they shouldn’t be friends, whilst wanting to be more than friends, defending each other at all costs, helping each other when things get hard, and just being hopelessly in love. With appearances of Winn being Kara’s best bro, Alex who needs to chill and stop being so overprotective, James who is being a little bit of a hypocrite and should learn how to separate Luthors and Supers, everyone just being a tad bit judgmental, tabloids invading their privacy and speculating on their relationship, and Kara and Lena not giving a fuck because they believe in each other and what they feel and that’s all that matters.

Summary
They meet on a Friday, which is the perfect day for a life to change.
Fridays are always wrought with happy anticipation. They taste like freedom and have the unmistakable shimmer of potential. They’re deviations from the norm -- a cheat day gift wrapped at the end of a hard week. They’re pizza parties and happy hours and staying out late. Even for Lena Luthor, a Friday is a more hopeful occasion than any other day in her little life.

Kara and Lena meet as children and grow up together; a series in 8 parts up through present day (+ Epilogue). Lena's POV. Pre-canon, then following canon themes with my own spin/twist :) NOT a strict retelling of any season but you'll recognize lines, and characters, and other easter eggs. Slowburn, but there are treats within. Happy ending because I am NOT a monster and Lena Luthor deserves better. You'll just have to be patient with me ;)

Summary
“Sorry. What’s your name?” Kara lowers the last bite of her hot dog. “You know mine, it’s only fair.”
The woman shifts her weight, pursing her lips and seeming to think about it. “I’m Lena,” she offers at last, watching Kara’s face.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Lena.” Kara gives her an enormous smile.
“Likewise.” Lena smiles back, then takes a breath. “I hope this isn’t the last time we talk.”
“Me, either.”
Kara watches Lena go, sees her pause at the street, then dart across awkwardly in her heels. “Lena,” she says to herself, trying it out. She goes to take another bite of her hot dog and feels the ketchup drip from her thumb, dropping into her lap.
Or:
Kara Danvers is in a slump: she’s just been fired from her job as a producer for a local news show, and she can’t get a single call back from prospective employers. But an offer from Luthor Broadcasting Corporation to help save their failing morning show might be just the thing she needs to turn it all around.

Lena lightly clears her throat. “What now?”
“We’re going to have fake sex, Lena,” Kara says with a straight face. “I need you to moan for me.”
Or:
Sam and her girlfriend have obnoxiously loud sex in their dorm room. Kara comes up with a plan with Lena to make Sam realize how loud they are. Things don't go as planned.
