Summary
Years have passed, and the Party has mostly drifted apart with the onset of adulthood. But after a painful encounter of Will’s, they discover a strange connection which opens their minds to one another and forces them back together. Mike doesn’t meander on his way back, cutting across corners and over lawns, and the strange pain is less overwhelming with his sneakers pounding against the pavement, the air sharper against his cheeks. He feels a faint lingering nausea that he just knows is Dustin’s, alongside the strange sensation of hands on his back and the sentiment of go unlock the door, Mike’s coming back that feels rough against the back of his throat.
Holy shit you’re out of shape, dude, Lucas’s voice is clearly ringing inside his head, somewhere just past his eardrums, and Dustin’s strangled amusement is clear as Mike manages to convey a sense of shut up without actually thinking the words.

Summary
Deep in the fjords of Norway is Hjortevika, a small village with a population barely over two thousand, a half-hour drive from Vesterelv, which can at least boast being a fully-fledged town. The two spots hold little relevance to anyone outside the communities that live in them, with friends and family spread between the towns. Little of notice happens there beyond frequent breakups or the occasional friendly rivalry.
That is, until word breaks of a mining company possibly gaining a permit to start digging out one of the surrounding mountains, and the subsequent uproar gains national attention.
Arthur Morgan is a car enthusiast and mechanic unafraid to dip into the illegal side of things, where there’s money to be earned. He lives at the edge of Hjortevika with his two younger half-brothers, John Marston and Sean MacGuire, while their half-sister Tilly Jackson has just recently moved to Vesterelv for work.
Follow the four siblings through a whirlwind week which promptly turns their lives upside down, as a municipality rallies, a video goes viral, friends laugh, strangers meet, and acquaintances reconnect.

in true spirit of this fic i didnt take this off my marked for later list, forgot i read it, and only remembered around chapter 3-4 this time around. really added to the experience of the whole thing! that said i really enjoyed this fic, and the twist was done really well. i liked blaise's role in this story, and how draco's behavior in earlier chapters take on a completely new light in later chapters. really well done, well written, and i think next time i read this, whenever that is, i should do a reread right away to really sit with it.

a story ive had in my marked for later for a while, and that im glad i finally picked up. i really enjoyed draco & harry's early 20s / post war characterizations, i liked how central the weasley family was to everything, and how the friendgroups had intersected without draco or harry's help. really well written with lots of fun interactions and good moments, had me both laugh and feel alongside the characters. really liked the george & astoria stuff, and everything ron & hermione as well. really well handled and well written overall, and the art in each chapter was a nice touch.

had me giggling and kicking my feet throughout. i love how gay everyone was, and the banter and dynamics overall were very fun. the competition of whos the better fake bf added a lot of hilarity, and i enjoyed how it descended into harry and draco just enjoying each other's company.

fun followup to the first part of this series!! ron was honestly so fun to read, the way his brain works (or rather, doesnt) is explored in such a delightful way it was impossible not to smile and laugh my way through this fic. blaise's cool demeanor was a fun contrast to ron's inner life & behavior, and i enjoyed the small ways in which you could tell they were a gryffindor x slytherin pairing. also just really well written building of tension, with a v rewarding kiss scene at the end. almost a little sad there's not more to this!!

Stuck in an enchanted world faced with the realisation that no one will be able to find him, he logically decides to set out and complete the trials that await. Only, the place is covered in extinct Magical Beasts and all the instructions are written in incomprehensible Ancient Runes.
So, really, it’s a very good thing he managed to bring Draco Malfoy along to help.

so incredibly well written, in terms of characterization and plot. loved the action, every challenge they faced was interesting and gripping to read about, and the interpersonal dynamic developed extremely naturally over the course of the story. loved the use of the limited perspective too, following harry consistently through the story made it very rewarding to read and understand draco beyond harry's obliviousness. it made the difference in who were injured or ill at any given time more poignant, the different effects of the environment impacting who had to take care of who in interesting ways. the way their bond built as they faced against increasingly difficult tasks was just so rewarding. not to speak of the creativity behind the tasks themselves, and everything that happened between the tasks as well. just such an incredibly well utilized and creative concept, with extremely grounded characterizations. love love love, definitely worth another reread down the road.
