Summary
Maddy and Rue have always been what Rue would call ‘adjacent friends’. They run in the same circles, but that’s all it’s ever been.
When Maddy asks Rue to go to a party with her, it blossoms a friendship neither of them expects. As they grow closer, things also become more complicated as they both deal with past relationships, drugs and more. They soon only find peace in each other. Could it be more than a new, deep friendship?
*There’s not enough Maddy/Rue! My babies deserve more than season 3 can ever give them! This is what plays in my mind after watching their edits on tiktoks, enjoy :)*

Summary
Leah gave a short laugh, but instead of standing, she looked at Fatin, trying her hardest to reframe her. To shove this image between all the other ones she had stored away of her. None of it made sense.
‘I have one more thing.’ she said, lips pursed in thought.
‘One more what?’ The crease deepened on Fatin’s forehead.
‘One more thing I hate about you.’ Leah clarified.
‘Fine, spill.’ her scoff came out uncharacteristically soft.
‘You prove me wrong all the time.’ Leah held her gaze. ‘And I hate being wrong.’
The smile that lit up Fatin’s face made Leah feel just a tiny bit okay with having a panic attack in the freezing backyard of a frat house.
OR
Leah had always thought Fatin was a shallow, popular girl who didn't give a fuck about anyone but still got everything they wanted.
Fatin had always thought Leah was a smart, broody introvert who hated anyone who had fun. When they drift into the same group of friends at university, it's hate at first sight.

Summary
Madeleine Perez doesn’t need a bodyguard.
She’s been navigating her own life since before anyone knew her name — the rooms, the cameras, the specific weight of being watched everywhere she goes. She knows how to handle attention. She’s built a career on understanding it, managing it, using it. Whatever situation her team thinks requires a solution, she is more than capable of being the solution herself.
Rue Bennett is not interested in Maddy’s opinion on this.
She shows up at eight-fifteen on a Tuesday, drinks neither of Maddy’s coffees, says less than anyone Maddy has ever met in a professional context, and notices absolutely everything. She’s been doing this job for seven years. She has a ground rule. It’s the same one every time: don’t make my job harder than it needs to be.
Maddy immediately makes it harder.
At Close Range is a story about a celebrity who is used to being the most observed person in every room and the bodyguard who changes what being observed means — told in the specific, slow, maddening space between professional and something else entirely.

Summary
They weren’t supposed to matter to each other.
Just two girls passing through the same rooms, the same years—never quite close enough to be called anything real.
Until somehow, they were.
New York blurred everything into something softer. Shared spaces, shared silence, the kind of closeness that doesn’t ask questions. It felt easy—like something that didn’t need to be named to be understood.
Like something that would last.
But there are things that don’t stay in the past, no matter how far you run.
And there are moments that don’t feel like endings—until you realize they were.Years later, Rue writes about love like it survives anything.
Like it always finds its way back. And maybe, in her stories, it does.
Just not in the way she remembers.

Summary
Ten years was supposed to be long enough to forget.
In the glass towers of Manhattan, Rue Bennett is a ghost in a bespoke suit—a high-stakes litigator who traded one addiction for the cold, lethal rush of the courtroom. She’s built a life of silence, boundaries, and survival.
But when the elevator doors open and Maddy Perez walks back into her world, the silence doesn't just break—it burns.
Maddy isn't the girl Rue remembers. She’s a powerhouse, a storm in silk, and the only person who knows exactly where Rue’s scars are buried. Now, caught between a dangerous legal war and a past that refuses to stay dead, they have to decide if they are each other’s greatest ruin or their only way out.
The "fuckass city" is a thousand miles away, but the fire is catching up. And this time, they aren't running.
One decade of silence. Two lives built on lies. One final chance to settle the score.

Summary
Madeleine Perez has everything. The name, the money, the company waiting for her like an inheritance she never asked for and can’t refuse. What she doesn’t have is a choice — not about the company, and apparently not about who she’s supposed to marry to run it.
She wasn’t looking for anyone the night she walked into that club. She especially wasn’t looking for a tall stranger from East Highland who didn’t know her name and didn’t seem to care.
Rue Bennett is sober, broke, and between places in every sense of the word. When Maddy calls her a week later with the strangest proposal she’s ever heard, Rue says yes for one reason: she needs the money. That’s all. That’s the whole thing.
It’s a simple arrangement. Temporary. Professional, almost. Neither of them is going to make it complicated.
They’re both wrong about that.
All That It Costs is a slow burn about a fake engagement, a real inconvenience, and two women who are much better at knowing what they don’t want than admitting what they do.

Summary
Madeleine Perez did not come to Seattle to be impressed.
She came for the job — executive assistant to Ruby Bennett, CEO of BluTech, environmental engineer, widower. She’s seen the interviews. She knows the public version: composed, articulate, untouchable. What she isn’t prepared for is the private one.
Ruby Bennett is not difficult. She’s precise. There’s a difference — or so HR would like her to believe. What Madeleine finds instead is a woman who built an empire out of grief and has been running it at full speed ever since, because stopping would mean feeling. Everyone at BluTech has learned to work around her edges.
Madeleine Perez has not read that memo.
She doesn’t flinch. She doesn’t placate. And she has a strict policy against people who say one thing and mean another.
Still Waters is a slow burn about grief that performs as function, and the specific disruption of someone who simply refuses to be managed.
The world starts in black and white. Colour arrives slowly.

Summary
Sixty-seven days clean, and Rue Bennett’s first real test is a graduation party she only agreed to because Lexi asked and nobody says no to Lexi.
She wasn’t expecting Maddy Perez.
She wasn’t expecting a lot of things — the way a drink spilled between them could turn into thirty minutes against a wall, or the way Maddy looks when she thinks nobody’s watching, or the specific feeling of standing next to someone who’s also in the middle of rebuilding something and not quite ready to name what they’re building.
This is a story about two girls who never really knew each other learning how to know themselves first. About recovery that isn’t linear and healing that doesn’t announce itself. About the slow, inconvenient, slightly terrifying thing that happens when someone sees you — actually sees you — right when you’re figuring out who you are.
It takes a while. It’s worth it.

Summary
She swallows hard, not even realizing where she is until Maddy’s surprised yelp sounds way closer than it should.
“Rue, what the hell are you doing? Why are you outside my window at—” She looks at the clock on her vanity— “2:30 AM?”
Maddy has a polka-dot robe on now, clutching the two sides closed to keep out the chilly night air.
Rue has stepped onto Maddy’s lawn. In front of Maddy’s window. Where Maddy can definitely see her.
Stupid.
“Uh—” she starts, scrambling, “Fuck, I didn't—I mean, it wasn't—”
Rue’s hands move in useless little gestures, like that might somehow explain things. Maddy just watches her, arms crossed, her mouth shaped suspiciously like a smile. She cuts Rue off before she can dig herself any deeper.
“Rue.”
“Yeah?”
“Do you need a place to crash tonight?”
When Rue accidentally ends up at Maddy’s house, comfort shows up wearing someone else’s perfume, and Rue pretends that doesn’t mean anything.

Summary
Yelena has spent a long time waking up-waking up from the trance of being a widow, waking up after being dust for five years, and waking up without her reproductive organs...something she may not have necessarily wanted to use,but may have wanted anyways.
Now she is waking up to the fact that after the battle of the Thunderbolts, visiting Kate in New York is nice. Kate is pleasant and strong and has a cute dog, and her hair smells nice...And dammit, Yelena is not completely comfortable with the feelings the archer is evoking.
Between Bucky and Walker trying to be her wingmen, Bob offering quiet encouragement, and Kate being ridiculously patient, Yelena slowly wakes up into the possibilities she didn't know were available to her.

"You're illegal," Valentina says, blunt, impatient, annoyed.
"Undocumented," Mel corrects hastily.
"And?" Yelena raises an eyebrow. "Would you like one of my many entirely legitimate American passports?" She folds her arms lazily over her chest.
"The world knows your real name now." Valentina folds her hands primly in her lap. "Your passports won't help you. You need another way to legitimize yourself. This is the fastest way."
