Summary
Pete felt that it was unfair that he got to hear everything in the world when he was supposed to hear nothing at all. He knew that expelling the demon would make him deaf, but he was ready to prepare for it if that was what it took to restore the natural order. Niran, surprisingly, had nothing against it at all. And Ploy, for some reason, seemed to think it was important that Pete told Niran about the feelings he'd been harbouring for a while now.
