Summary
Alphas who got stuck as wolves were hunted down by their fellow werewolves to protect the rest of them from repercussions. That much was true. Their ability to wolf out at will threatened the balance of power within the packs, definitely not baseless.
But neither of these were real reason Alphas were shunned by packs. The real and far less known reason was that just as they were capable of shifting without a full moon, their wolves could take control while Alphas were human.
Unfortunately, Enid never got the chance to learn about this tidbit about herself before it landed her in a very tight spot.

Summary
When Cousin Itt arrives at Nevermore to teach History of the Modern Outcast, his new translation device finally allows everyone to understand him.
Within hours, Itt has revealed her extraordinary IQ, inheritance, alarming childhood achievements, and a collection of deeply embarrassing family stories. Wednesday Addams has compiled the most important academic document of her life: Ten Reasons Not to Fall in Love with a Werewolf.
The list is thorough, logical, emotionally repressed, and doomed from the first line.
There is shedding. There are claws. There is excessive warmth, unsolicited cheerfulness, suspicious amounts of touching, and the horrifying possibility that Enid Sinclair may be adorable on purpose. Wednesday approaches each reason with scientific discipline, gothic dignity, and the grim determination of a girl trying very hard not to notice that her best friend has become her favourite disaster.
Unfortunately, Enid keeps ruining everything by being loyal, brave, ridiculous, soft, stubborn, and impossible not to love.

“Why are you making that sound,” she deadpanned, not turning to look at Enid as she began checking the typewriter for the proper amount of ink.
Enid wasn’t sure if she could talk. The desire for closeness was growing larger by the minute, and another whimper fell from her desperate lips.
