And not just haunted in the ‘oh, sometimes the power flickers’ kind of way—haunted in the full-on, ‘doors creak ominously, shadows move when no one's there, and the kitchen appliances randomly explode’ sort of way. Sam is so convinced he might even be losing sleep over it. If joining the Avengers meant signing up for supernatural nonsense on top of everything else, Sam really, really wishes someone had given him a heads-up.

Peter and Tony had spent most of the night trying to escape from a poorly executed kidnapping attempt, only to return to the tower and be caught by Peter's friends and teammates, looking battered and bruised.

Summary
5 Years had passed since the snap had changed everything for Peter, Tony, and the world. It was a blip that had altered Peter’s reality in fundamental ways that he doesn’t want to think about. He’d come back to life in a world where May had died, and Tony had grown much softer since he’d become a father to Morgan… since he’d lost Peter and invented time travel to bring him back. 6 Months after Thanos is defeated, Peter has just begun putting the pieces of his life back together again. He’s been adopted by Tony and Pepper, is enjoying life in Stark Tower with his family, and is hoping the CEO Emergency Transfer Protocol never ever has to be put into place. Things are finally starting to look up, despite that there’s a field trip scheduled to Stark Industries… a field trip Peter really doesn’t want to go on.

Everything Peter has been worrying about comes to pass during the field trip to Stark Industries, and then some. Why Tony and Pepper had ever thought that Peter should be put in charge of the company during an emergency if they couldn’t be found was beyond him.

“You’re not intruding at all.” MJ unlocks her door and steps inside, gesturing with her head for him to follow. “Besides, I’m just repaying you for the flowers.”
“You don’t have to,” Peter insists. “I was just being nice.”
“Then I’m being nice too. Come on. I have too much food and only myself for company.”
She holds up the plastic bag in her hand, where Peter can see two boxes of takeout inside.
“Okay,” Peter agrees, his hunger winning against his common sense. “Thank you for having me.”
Peter has done a good job avoiding Ned and MJ for the past four years. Until they both moved in across the hall and began inviting him for meals and giving him leftovers (suspiciously looking freshly cooked). He really shouldn’t get involved in their lives anymore, but Peter Parker is broke, hungry, and can’t resist the temptation of delicious food and the chance to talk to his friends again.
Or: Healing and loving through awkward leftovers, impromptu lunch hangouts, and maybe admitting Peter’s not quite satisfied with his life as he thought he was.

The kid pulls in a wet breath. "Just- inside. Inside the school. In a bathroom. I'll be out in just a second, I promise, I'm so sorry-"

How was he supposed to explain to people what he saw both on Titan and in the ruins of the compound when he wasn’t even sure he had totally processed it yet? How could he look his classmates in the eye and tell them that, no, he really didn’t understand why they were freaking out about the upcoming English exam because he still woke up in cold sweats, gasping for air because the feeling of his very cells being torn apart over and over again as they frantically tried to repair themselves plagued his nightmares every night?
How could he tell them that he’s had to bury every father-figure he’s had since birth?
He couldn’t.

Peter isn't doing to well in his transition back to society, and Flash was never one to make his life easy.
