    Following the destruction of the NILS statue, Captain Cuttlefish discovered sunlight wasn't the only thing powering the devastating weapon. At the core of NILS was a strange white crystal shard, boasting energy levels comparable to dozens of Great Zapfish. With such terrifying power in his tentacles, Craig did what any reasonable cephalopod would do: Commission Sheldon to harness the shard's energy. Unfortunately, Sheldon's meddling ended up opening Pandora's box. Now, Inkadian residents find themselves at the mercy of a great evil in the form of hypnotic wooden spirits called the Tiki Tak Tribe. The threat is evidently out of the New Squidbeak Splatoon's league, but fortunately, they aren't the only ones gunning for the tribe. Even so, one has to wonder if they'll be able to stop these spirits from taking over Inkadia... or will the entire world fall to their instrumental hypnosis?

    What had he done to be blessed with the love of a nymph of song, he wondered. One would think that the child born from the love of a goddess of the arts and a mortal would be blessed with an innate talent for their mother's domain. However, Felix , the son of Fraldarius, the muse of poetry, had no single artistic bone in him. His voice was rough, his poetry dull, and the strings of many a lyre had snapped under his attempts at learning the instrument. Instead, the took to his father, a retired warrior that had taught him and his brother the way of the sword.

    And just like his father, Felix had fallen for a muse of his own. Annette was a nymph, born of Dominic, the patron God of music. Felix had heard her sing one day in the depths of the forest, dainty tunes that spoke of the flowers and the beasties and creatures which inhabited the woods. From that moment on Felix had found himself captive, ensnared by her song as a sailor succumbing to a siren's voice.
