    If another rainstorm was what it took to give him an excuse to talk to him again, then so be it. Crawly hoped for another. He hoped for a thousand more. A thousand more storms, a thousand more opportunities to speak to this unusual angel he couldn’t seem to get out of his head.

    Every rainstorm after brought him a funny sort of comfort. A memory of shelter, of good conversation, of new beginnings. This new world was full of so much potential, and Crawly couldn’t wait to see how it was all going to work out.

    Every rainstorm after was beautiful. Fresh, and new, and exciting.

    Every rainstorm after, he searched just a little to see if Aziraphale was nearby, and every rainstorm after, he was not.

    Until he was.

    But in a way, Crawly wished he hadn’t been.
