He had to learn to detect what mood the man was in each day to know how to behave; to be quieter or meeker, to fight back or to take up no space, which is why he did not understand how everyone else could be so blind to the truth of Midoriya Izuku.
If no one else is going to help, then Shouto Todoroki will do right by his first friend himself, goddammit.
