Summary
(Disclaimer: This is an alternative version of the events of Plastic Beach, so please don’t worry if it’s not completely lore-accurate)
After four long years estranged from one another, many drastic events taking place in-between, Noodle and Russel finally reunite with 2D and Murdoc on Plastic Beach.
2D feels heavily depressed. The pain of being abused by Murdoc and stranded on the island has gotten to him so much, he vents with his two bandmates about how he’s been feeling, especially since Noodle's presumed death in 2006.
The band confronts Murdoc, but all things take a turn when 2D fully cusses him out, yelling at him for how he’s treated him ever since the beginning of the band.
Murdoc is left dumbfounded and shocked, now understanding that he needs to change to keep the band together. With this moment, he realises not only has become just like his father, but that his bandmates are more of a family to him than his own, and he refuses to let himself drift them apart ever again.
