“I’ll be back before sunrise,” Katsuki promised. “You won’t even notice I’m gone. I’ll kiss you the second I’m back and we’ll go out. Pancakes. Syrup.
That weird fruit compote you like. The works.”“You promise?”
The question came out barely audible, like he was saying it more to the air than to Katsuki himself.
Katsuki leaned down and kissed the corner of his mouth, slow and lingering. “I promise, baby.”
Izuku’s lips curled faintly, but his hold didn’t loosen.
With another soft groan—more at the unfairness of having a clingy boyfriend and a damn sense of responsibility—Katsuki very gently, very reluctantly
peeled Izuku’s arms off his waist, kissing each hand as he moved them.“Brute,” Izuku mumbled.
Katsuki laughed under his breath. “You’ll thank me when I bring back mochi pancakes.”
“You’re still a brute.”
---------------or Katsuki has to get up in the middle of the night to deal with a vilian attack and Izuku's grumpy, a few weeks later and the tables have turned.

“You’re being clingy,” Izuku mumbled, eyes sleepy and voice muffled from where he was burrowed into a pillow half his size.
Katsuki didn’t even try to deny it. “Yeah? And what, you’re allergic?”
Izuku snorted softly and tilted his head to look up at him, his hair mussed, eyes heavy-lidded, freckles on full display. “Apparently not. I’m just gonna melt, I think.”
“Good,” Katsuki muttered.
And then he kissed him again. Once. Twice. A third time, directly on his forehead. And then he just… kept going.
He kissed Izuku’s temple. His cheek. The corner of his eye. His jaw. His dimples, for god’s sake.
Izuku was trying to pretend he wasn’t grinning like an idiot, but the corners of his mouth kept twitching upward, and his face was slowly heating into an adorable pink.
“Wait—Kacchan,” he said, laughing breathlessly now, fingers coming up to gently push at Katsuki’s shoulder. “What are you doing? You’ve kissed me, like… nine times in two minutes.”
“Eleven,” Katsuki corrected, without shame. “You missed the two sneak attacks on your forehead when you blinked.”
--------------Or Katsuki peppers Izuku in kisses and he falls in love all over again.

“Kacchan!” he chirped, grin spreading so wide it practically split his face. “You’re awake!”
Katsuki squinted at him. “Unfortunately.”
“I slept sooo good,” Izuku declared, wiggling happily against his chest. “Did you? Your bed’s really warm.”
Katsuki snorted. “Warm, my ass. You kicked me in the ribs three times. I barely got a wink.”
Instead of looking even a little guilty, Izuku giggled like Katsuki had just told him a bedtime story. He propped his chin on Katsuki’s chest, all soft curls and sleepy eyes. “But you didn’t leave me! I knew Kacchan wouldn’t.”
The words landed heavier than Katsuki wanted to admit, burrowing somewhere under his ribs where even explosions couldn’t shake them loose. He grunted, trying to shove himself upright—only for Izuku’s grip to tighten instantly. The kid latched on like a damn baby koala, fists clutching, legs tightening around him.
“Nooo, five more minutes!” Izuku whined, nose squishing into Katsuki’s shirt. “Just five!”

Or Izuku gets hit by a de-aging quirk and is four years old again. Chaos ensures.

Izuku said “apple” without thinking, like it was obvious. Like it had always been there.
Katsuki frowned. “Why the hell would we do apple?”
Izuku tilted his head, smiling. “Because it’s classic. And warm. And everyone likes it.”
Katsuki crossed his arms. “That’s boring.”
“It’s not boring,” Izuku said, gently. “It’s familiar.”
Katsuki’s eyes sharpened—not angry. Just intent. “Orange has bite. People remember it.”
Izuku laughed, soft and fond. “It’s just cake, Kacchan.”
Katsuki looked at him for a long moment, then scoffed and turned away. “Yeah,” he said. “Just cake.”

Katsuki made a noise that was somewhere between a groan and the sound a dying engine made. He scrubbed a hand down his face, fingers catching on the loose edge of his mask at his neck.
“Absolutely not,” he muttered. “Nope. Not happening. Try again.”
Izuku blinked, surprise flashing across his face before professionalism kicked in and politely strangled it. “With all due respect, Yukaru-san, Katsuki and I are the top two heroes in the country. We can’t just… go on vacation.”
The word sounded illegal in his mouth. Like something heroes weren’t licensed to do.
Yukaru raised a brow. “Watch me make you.”
