Harry discovered 3 things before breakfast. One, his girlfriend drugged him with amortentia. Two, Hermione knew about it. Three, everyone that he thought of as family knew about it.
Harry then decided to request to be resorted, not wanting to be in the same house as those people. After getting resorted into Slytherin, he tells them what happened. They all take his side, because they're not insane.
Harry and Draco get close, Harry now trusting Draco more than he thought he would. Then Harry realizes things about himself that he can't even tell Draco. Then they fall in love.
OR: Harry is betrayed by his "family", then gets resorted into Slytherin. Then he falls in love with Draco.
