He should have listened to his sister when she talked about her favorite Otome game, Cardiac Arrest, inspired by a Sci-fi romance novel called 'The Sentinel's Guide to the End of the World'. But unfortunately, he was too exhausted by work to give a damn, or click on the many links she sent him.
Now, Kit finds himself regretting that choice, as he wakes up in a strange world and replaces a side character, Dr. Valen Ashford, a Sentinel and doctor who worked with the famous organization PlanCom, the city's main line of defense against the alien race Thranzeon. If he had read the novel his sister sent him, he would have realized that the novel also fell into the category of horror.
