Summary
A bulky black shadow moves, rising up over the edge of your hiding place, right past where your feet lay. It huffs quietly, halting for a few seconds to catch its breath, before heaving itself up over the edge of your one safe place.
Your ears are ringing with how terrified you are. Even though you’re lying down, blood somehow manages to rush from your face, and all you have the presence of mind to do is silently tuck your feet in as tight as they’ll go, holding your breath and just praying this monster will fall to his death, or somehow not notice you, or—
The shadow’s knee finds purchase on the surface where you’re lying, and his arm is so long that when he reaches out to haul himself the rest of the way up, his hand makes contact with the front of your shin.

Bleeding everywhere, with a round lodged in his leg, König finally finds a place to hide and take care of his injury while he waits for extraction. The only problem is the person he finds already there.

Summary
Soap’s eyes strayed over towards Price again, suddenly remembering to ask Ghost to be partnered up for the next Op, “hey Ghost,” his voice had dipped low.
“What Johnny?” Their eyes met and Ghost had his mask half pulled down over his mouth so he could sip at his drink, an easy smile that stretched the scars around his mouth. God Soap thought he was hot.
It was nearly distracting, jumbling his mind as he asked plainly, “can we be together?” Ghost nearly choked on his drink coughing a bit before staring wide eyed back at Soap.
“What? Us being together?”
“Aye,” Soap looked at him a bit confused. “If you don't want to, that's fine, I won't make it a big deal if you don’t.”
“I’m just surprised you’re so casual about it,” Ghost put his glass down, shuffling a bit closer that made Soap smile wider, “but yes, if you’re sure?”
Ghost nearly sounded nervous, and Soap saw the slight red tint to his cheeks and ears and Soap grinned wider at the knowledge that Ghost got flustered about being partnered up for a mission, he laughed a bit tilting his head to the side and looking up at Ghost, “I’m always sure about you.”
