Summary
Now, Tommy has lived more than four decades on this planet and he recognizes that one of the hardest things about being an adult is unlearning all of the fuckery that one's parents mistook as proper parenting. He knows this, and Evan knows this - and both of them have decades worth of parental fuckery to unlearn.
Tommy thinks they're doing a great job. But then, there are days like today - when the ghost of Tommy's still very much alive father and all his terrible parenting comes to visit and perform a proper haunting of the present.

Buck didn’t even remember what he’d said let alone that he’d mentioned Tommy.
“I…I don’t know,” Buck said. “Honestly, it was all a blur. I didn’t have a speech planned and I can’t remember what I said or who I thanked. I was a bit of a mess. I’m still a bit of a mess. This is so unexpected."
They all laughed.
“You and Tommy have history, how was it to work with him on this show?”

“It’s weird,” Harry said.
May turned to look at him from her spot on their mom’s couch and took the offered bowl of popcorn.
“What is?”
“Just, the 118. Like, okay, that first week when Chim was putting more bubble wrap around me than even mom, I didn’t really notice it. Buck kept trying to include me in stuff and show me things and I just didn’t realize that no one else was actually helping him with those things. Or even…well, paying attention to him. And Chim…he’s like constantly making comments about Buck.”
