Summary
There’s a voice. Fading in and out. It sounds familiar at first, and then…not. It sounds far away, and then far too close. The voice is speaking too quickly for him to pick up on any of the words being communicated. He tries to focus on it, but the more aware he becomes, the more he can only focus on the pain spreading throughout his body. Along his face and neck and cowl. It’s searing. Overwhelming. It knocks him back out.
When he comes to again, the pain has subsided. For the most part. His mandibles tighten and that causes a stinging sensation to shoot through his right one. Then his entire body jolts out of pain. He lets out a grunt, his body too stiff to move. Ugh. Shit. He can’t even remember what the hell happened. The last thing he remembers is—
Sidonis.
Then it all comes rushing back to him.

He escaped after being buried alive and digging his way out.” June's body tensed up at his story, "One day one of his former teammates showed up to catch up and no one knew he had been brainwashed. That same man went to the soldier’s home and killed his family on Christmas day." Ghost paused, the revelation of his past hanging heavy in the air.
June couldn’t breathe as she listened to his story, “What happened next?” She whispered.
“He started wearing a mask and changed his name, because he was now a ghost.” He tilted her chin so she could face him, “Until he met an annoying American. She was brave, smart and beautiful and ended up partnered with him.”“And when she looks at him, he feels alive. For the first time in years, he feels alive because she’s the only one who sees him.”
He held her gaze as they stared at each other, “You see me, June. When you look at me I’m not a ghost.” -

you tried to disguise the gulp when you saw him outstretched on a cot, his tactical gear shed and scattered on the ground. boots on, but untied. his long-sleeved shirt now tossed on the end of the bed, stained with blood—a fitted undershirt his only covering. his pants hung low on his hips, his shirt riding up from how he lay propped on the bed and his neck exposed from where his mask and shirt collar didn’t meet.
oh my god, you were acting like a victorian man with the way your heart was suddenly racing at every little bit of exposed skin.
you pried your eyes away and slid on a pair of latex gloves. you grabbed a disinfectant and turned to him, trying to conjure a polite smile.
“look like y'gonna be sick,” he grumbled.
“this is me smiling,” you said back through gritted teeth, the forced grin slipping away now that ghost called you out on it. you swore you almost heard him chuckle.

Summary
When Vegeta hits a wall with his training, Bulma decides to help him out by summoning the Eternal Dragon, Shenron, and wishing for his advice. Shenron tells the duo that in order to unlock the legendary power of Super Saiyan, the standoffish prince needs to learn to love and be loved in return. Bulma, who is still in a relationship with Yamcha, decides to set Vegeta up with a variety of single friends to see if he can find a connection with someone…anyone…that might grow into love. Of course, various antics ensue. Eventually Vegeta realises that the woman he loves has in fact been under his nose the entire time. How does he win her heart?
An alternative take on the three year gap get together. Traditional rom com tropes apply with a nod to Disney and that all-important true love’s first kiss. This is romantic fluff first and foremost, you have been warned.
