Nobara, at eighty–four years old, had been ripped out of the beautiful penthouse she adored, taken from her beloved kitten, and unceremoniously thrown into the Heian period. The why of the situation was sorely lost on her until coming upon the mangy, infant body of Ryomen Sukuna consuming a deer carcass.
Somehow, this was all Itadori's fault. Yet, for the sake of Itadori, she decided to take care of the cursed child until her inevitable death.
It couldn't be that different from raising a stray cat.
And she couldn’t possibly make Sukuna turn out worse.

Summary
Zuko doesn't know what would have happened if he'd stayed. Maybe his father would have humiliated him further maybe he would have changed his mind (unlikely), but whatever choice he would have made Zuko made it for him. A person can only take so much before they break after all and waking up alone and in pain was the final straw for the 13 year old boy. He's lucky he ended up where he did.
3 years after the Agni Kai that left him blind and deaf on the left side of his face Zuko lives as the adopted nephew of a small town's healer. The villagers have long stopped caring about the fire dancing over his finger tips since he's proved he only uses it to brew their medicine.
Lee has no desire to be dragged back into his father's war, but what can he do when he's the only firebender in the Earth Kingdom that the avatar he was once tasked with hunting down can hope to learn from?Bookmarked by Slavinator

Summary
His life was one instance of bad luck after the other. Oh, he had his good days of course, but those were overwhelmed by the bad. The days his father decided to burn his lessons into him, the days his sister wanted a human target that wasn’t her ‘friends’, the day his cousin died, the day his mother disappeared. Those were just some of the few examples he could think of, but there were many more throughout his life.
This was just the next in the long list of very bad days.

Sokka finds out that Zuko’s life-threatening, Sozin-comet-powered, crazy-blue-fire-prodigy-inflicted lightning wound didn’t scar.
And Sokka’s got questions about that.
Because if that didn’t scar, how in Koh’s lair did he get the one on his face?
Or: The one in which there are uncomfortable conversations, dramatic life-threatening events, and undiscovered traumatic depths to be plumbed on a weekend beach vacation. As is the ATLA norm.
