Jessaria didn't look up at Zenos as he talked, but his words struck a frozen cord within her.
He dared recognize her humanity.
He dared STILL to ask for a fight, as if he had never earned her ire, her frozen blood and panicked screams in the night.
Wordlessly she stood, refusing to look at him. "You hurt so many people," she muttered as she reached for her axe, "you hurt ME, and not only in battle."
Desperate, retributive dynamis began flowing from her body as she instantly went on the attack. Their weapons clashed, Zenos' eyes widening at the tears in Jessaria's eyes.
