She notices the way Navia stops short of herself from leaning into her space. The way she was trying not to grab her hand and intertwine their fingers like they used to. She notices the way Navia looks at her, but then suddenly becomes scared of something. Clorinde didn’t mind, of course. They have been apart for years, so it was only natural that Navia no longer desires to touch her or smile at her the same way she did before.
But she notices. The way Navia had become more…clingy. Touchy.

Sandrone forces herself to take a deep breath. She feels her eyebrow twitch. The singing continues, the same melody, over and over and over again. She stands up, a couple of screws clattering to the ground, and strides over to the entrance, throwing the doors open. “Columbina!”
The Damselette trails off in her singing, placid expression completely unperturbed. Sandrone scowls down at the Damselette. Something about her practiced aloofness makes Sandrone want to rip her calm, serene visage to pieces.
“Shut,” Sandrone hisses, “the fuck up. Some of us have work to do.”
“Sandrone,” the Damselette says, her voice like the murmur of the wind. “I didn't mean to disturb you.”

To do so, she goes back to the Plane of Euthymia to meditate her decision. After seeing her again in 500 years, Miko cannot afford to risk letting her isolate herself again. And... she cannot let go of the opportunity to confront her about it.

Ei sighs. She stands up.
“Yae Miko.” (Miko hates the way she straightens her back at the sound of her name, hates the way her ears twitch at the words.)
The Shogun’s face reveals nothing, save for a hint of shame, but at herself, not the puppet. “The experiment failed. My attempt at stopping erosion has failed.”
Were it someone else, they would have attributed the clench of Ei’s fists to disappointment, to anger, but Miko knows better.
Erosion is a terrible thing, capable of breaking gods. And what is a god if they can be broken? (Miko thinks of a younger Ei, eyes still somewhat bright, hands clutching at bloodstained ribbons as her sister dies in front of her.)

"Are you questioning your goddess?" Ei whispered, giving Miko's ear a soft squeeze. This time, she suppressed the moan before shaking her head. Her arousal, however, only intensified as pleasure surged from her ears down to her lurching stomach.
"Good, now raise your arms. I'm undressing you," Ei stated, leaving Miko no room to argue.
Miko cursed internally. One of the main problems of being intimate with the very being you worshipped, was that the one you usually prayed to in your time of need, was also the one sending you down an endless spiral of divine arousal.

Or, Raiden Ei and Yae Miko go on a very sweet date and get real nasty in the bathhouse (specifically the sauna) that Miko rented for them to have all to themselves.

They eat in silence for a few minutes. She feels hot all over, flustered, and it doesn’t help how Miko keeps looking at her from under her eyelashes, her lips just slightly lifted at the corners.
It is only when they have finished the plate and Miko has poured them tea that she speaks again. “Tell me what’s on your mind, my dear.”
Her voice is so soft, so kind, that Ei feels her eyes begin to sting. She takes a shaky breath, and it does nothing to calm her. She looks up at the ceiling so that she does not let any traitorous tears make their way down her cheeks. “Eternity,” she says.
Ei is not so strong as she seems.

Columbina is slow to respond, too. Irritating. "Rosalyne asked… if I wanted to join her. This is your room, Sandrone?"
"Obviously."
A tiny smile lights up Columbina's face. This isn't the first time Sandrone has been this physically close to her, but it is the first time she's seen her strange colleague smile. It's a little unnerving, not that she would ever admit it. "I like it. It feels… warm. Welcoming."
