Summary
Dottore—insolent, presumptuous man that he is—steps closer, filling the narrow tunnel of air between them with notes of ether and iodine. Pantalone resists the instinct to backstep.
“Why don’t you let me come wash you off?” Dottore purrs. “A nice, relaxing bath might do that sour temper of yours some good.”
After a gruesome mission, Dottore knows just what Pantalone needs. It goes without saying that relaxing is hardly the right word to describe the events that transpire.

Five times Dottore observes Pantalone vulnerable, and one time Pantalone observes Dottore back.
"And I suppose if I'm ever confronted physically, I should blast them away with my signature?" Pantalone chuckled. "How very effective indeed."
"Let us hope it never comes to that." Dottore said. "But if it did, I would simply handle them in your stead."
Perhaps Pantalone should have investigated that sentence further. But he just wanted another smoke.

"I don't care about their domestic squabbles!" Sandrone snapped. "I need my shipments of clockwork springs from Fontaine. If Pantalone is upset because Dottore is an unobservant idiot, then Dottore needs to be made observant!"
