    Summary

“Welcome to Fatui House.” Sandrone raises her mug in mock salute and sneers. “It’s a crap hole here.”

Rosalyne lets out another annoyed noise but the new girl doesn’t really react. She just tilts her head to the side as she continues to pet the border collie in her lap. “Is that so? It’s a really nice crap hole if that’s the case.”

The sneer on Sandrone’s face melts into a scowl. Oooookay. So not just a weird name, but a weirdo in general. Greeeaaat, just what the dorms needed. And she still hasn’t taken off those stupid sunglasses of hers, despite being indoors, in the dead of night. For some reason, that annoys Sandrone more than anything else. What is her deal? Seriously. Is it some sort of hipster thing to just wear your shades at all times now or–

    Oh.

The sunglasses. The dog. The off-center staring. It all comes together in Sandrone’s mind. With a start, it suddenly hits her.

    She’s blind.

A new student transfers mid-semester into Fatui House. Sandrone is sure she wants nothing to do with her, but Columbina has other ideas.

    Summary

It was fine, though. Just fine. So what if she & Neuvillette hadn't talked since she'd moved out? Neuvillette had a whole nation to run now, his duties compounded without an Archon or the Oratrice, and his hands were probably full even without having a (fraud) ex-god to babysit. They'd said their goodbyes in the Palais after everything was done, and that had been that.

…or so she thought, until she came home one evening and found a very familiar envelope in her doorslot; penned in an elegant curling script, addressed from the mailbox of the Palais itself.

After Furina moves out of the Palais Mermonia, she and Neuvillette begin writing letters to each other.

    Summary

The waters had receded. Fontaine was rebuilding.

But guilt does not end with the tide.

Arlecchino stood alone at the edge of the reconstructed opera house, her clawed hand resting lightly on the brass railing. From the balcony, she watched the stage below, empty now, except for a single white prop fan left behind during rehearsal.

She hadn't come for the show.
    She came for her.

Furina had shed her Archon robes and the illusion of divinity. In the chaos that followed the revelation of Neuvillette's identity and her own powerlessness, she had disappeared...

    quietly,

    carefully.

    No grand announcement.

    Summary

'All the anger ebbed away from Brume’s body then, utterly defeated. She stared directly into Félicienne’s eyes. “You are the worst thing that's happened to me.”

“And you, Adèle Tavernier,” Félicienne had a dark gleam in her eyes, darker than any storm that Brume had witnessed. “You are the best thing that's happened to me.” '

In which Adèle Tavernier has to deal with the consequences of her mercy, of granting Félicienne Baron the chance to continue living, even if they had to share the same body to do so. But what if that wasn't the only thing that they could share? That their connection ran deeper and cut just as sharply as the noble's silver tongue?

What if Adèle finds herself enjoying it yet hating it all the same?

    Summary

Inevitable, beyond the mere concept of inevitability. Kafka had been one of the best before she retired at a mere twenty-five, and it had been sheer talent that propelled her there. Even back then, Himeko had known—Kafka was a storyteller, and not even five years of retirement could snuff out that flame.

It’s an issue. A big one.

Because if Kafka gets this role, then the ghost becomes flesh. The phantom gets a call sheet, a trailer, a wardrobe rack, and three months of shared scenes and early mornings and Yao Guang’s terrifyingly intimate notes on eye contact. If Kafka gets this role, Himeko will have to stand across from her every single day and pretend that the last five years did not leave a strange little bruise somewhere beneath her ribs.

or, they're actresses, Kafka reemerges after five years of radio silence, and Himeko wonders what the hell she did to deserve this.
