Sae wilted a bit.
“Ryusei,” repeated Sae.
“Whatdoyouwantsae,” he slurred, burying his face under his arms. The scratchiness of the white coverings must drive him insane. He didn’t look too well either.
“You’re clearly not okay. Now get up,” said in the same tone a brother would say to their sibling, and Sae was hauling Ryusei up, and leaning him against him to bring him to the couch. He didn’t fight, but complied, allowing himself to be moved.

Truth be told he wasn't sure when he'd picked up the habit. It had been a long time, that's for sure. A way to clear his head from distracting thoughts and feelings. He had numerous scars on his legs, arms, and shoulders. Mostly legs, considering those were the easiest to hide. Miraculously, very few people had noticed.
