Summary
John doesn’t necessarily mind being an omega, that in and of itself he could deal with. The heats were annoying and the reaction to an alpha voice was irritating, but being an omega was fine in a world where ONLY omegas existed.
Or: John Walker is an omega, the team doesn't realize. That is until John goes into sympathy heat and the team realizes they fucked up.

It all collapses onto Butcher, a single moment of pain, the sort of empathy only his brother was capable of. He can’t merge the monster with the child in front of him. Like he’s suddenly wearing red boots five sizes too large in a costume that’ll never fit, confused at why this big, scary man is hurting him.
